You guys, I can’t contain my excitement any longer. Muppets Most Wanted is coming out on Blu-ray Combo Pack & Digital HD August 12th at Disney.com. We were able to get one in the mail last week and my kids immediately got it out of the package and ready to watch. It’s a good thing that I was prepared and had a whole dinner party planned for them along the Muppets theme!!
We started with Muppets BINGO while we ate some pizza in the living room. That in itself was a great treat for the kids cause they don’t usually get dinner off of the dining table! But to get to play a game while we ate was even better. BINGO has quickly become one of our favorite games because all ages can play together. We may need to go a little slower for Gracie’s sake, but she’s quick to recognize the pictures and yell out for everyone “You’re finding Miss Piggy”!
Once we were done with the pizza and BINGO, we put in the movie and loaded ourselves up on popcorn and treats! We had some lemon popcorn and some banana bread for the adults who didn’t want the sugar overload. That was the best part of this whole night, the whole family could get involved.
The plot of the movie was so fun for both kids and adults.
Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and the entire Muppets gang head out on a world tour. But mayhem follows the Muppets, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper. Now Kermit is behind bars at the mercy of prison warden Nadya (Tina Fey), and the World’s Number One Criminal, Constantine—a dead ringer for Kermit—has taken his place.
As Constantine and his dastardly sidekick Dominic (Ricky Gervais) plot the robbery of the century, they are pursued by Sam Eagle and Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon (Ty Burrell). Will Constantine get away with his nefarious scheme? Will Kermit escape in time to save the day?
There were times when the whole family had a full belly laugh going, others when just Mom and Dad found humor in it, but the whole movie everyone was extremely entertained, and that’s how you know it’s a fantastic family movie.
Once the movie was over, the kids wanted to play BINGO again. But this time they kept asking “is that Kermit or Constantine” whenever we would pull a picture of Kermit. We made the decision that Constantine wasn’t nice enough to be in a fun game, so all of them were Kermit!
Make sure to download your own Muppets BINGO game so that your whole family can have a Muppets party when the movie is available August 12!
