A few weeks ago I saw the succulent wreath from Pretty Providence and fell in love. I knew that I wanted to make one similar, but didn’t want to copy too much! So today I’m sharing my take on their wreath!

I started by cutting my fabric into 1 1/2 inch strips. The larger 18 inch wreath is obviously going to take more fabric than the smaller one. You’ll most likely have a few leftover strips.

To start wrapping the strips around the wreath form, glue one end of your fabric strip to the inner side of the form. Putting your seams in the center will make them less noticeable once the wreath is finished! After the end is glued in place, start wrapping the fabric around the form , overlapping each time you wrap. When your strip runs out just glue the end in place and cover it up with the beginning of the next strip.

Once the whole form is covered, cut off the excess from your fabric strip and glue in into place covering the beginning strip. Now, once your one form is covered, repeat the same thing for the second form!

Because of the size of the forms, the 12 inch form will fit right inside the 18 inch form. Put it inside the other, and next step is adding the succulents. If your succulents have picks on them, use scissors or wire cutters to remove them. Lay them out on the table until you find the placement you like. Next, glue your succulents in place on either one or the other of the wreaths.

The final thing to do is getting a ribbon to hang the wreath from. The best thing to do is place the wreath where you want it to hang, and figure out how long your ribbon will need to be to hang it from that location. Then double the ribbon length because you will be making a loop. Glue the two ends of ribbon around the back of the wreath. Once the glue has dried, you are ready to hang it!
