When I think of Summer, I think of soda floats. They are seriously the best way to cool down after a long hot day. But I’m sure most people think of having root beer floats… but not at our house! We try to take things up a notch and experiment with new flavors, sodas and combinations! We recently had them with fruit flavored sodas and the kids now ask for them on a regular basis! They are the biggest dessert hit with the family in a long time, so I figured I would share it with you guys.
For this day we used Strawberry Soda, Orange Soda, and Grape Soda. Also, we love to use glass cups/mugs/jars because they get a little frosty on the edges and create a slush type texture to your soda!
Fill each glass with about 1 cup of Blue Bunny vanilla ice-cream or frozen yogurt. Then pour the soda over the top filling to the top. Serve and enjoy immediately!
I know, this post is totally not even deserving of it’s own post because it’s so dang easy and simple…but when we invited some friends over for a treat and they had never heard of having a float with anything other than a root beer, I KNEW that I had to share this knowledge with EVERYONE!
We picked our Blue Bunny ice cream at Walmart on rollback for $3.50 right now.
And at select Walmarts, Blue Bunny will be doing in store demos on July 9-12. Check this list to see when and if your store is participating!!
Oh my! How have a Inever thought of this!? Its brilliant. I can’t wait to try this with some orange soda, I bet its just like a creamsiscle!
