Easter Egg Dying Party + Free Printables

By far the best part of Easter, other than all the fabulous chocolate of course, is dying Easter eggs. This is a memory that I have as a young child, and I have already created fantastic memories of dying them with my kids over the last 5 years. We always spend one night as a family dying all the eggs our little family can handle. This year I surprised the kids with an Easter Egg Dying party when they got home from school. You would have thought it was Christmas morning seeing the excitement come across their face.

When they got to the front door, there was a fun sign hanging pointing to the direction of the party. Also hanging on the front door we had the fun “Hoppy Easter” banner.

Then at the table I had some treats set up for the kids to eat while I prepped the PAAS egg dye. I gave them water to drink and “Bunny Tail Donuts” for a snack.

For this party, we used the PAAS magical color cups and the dip and dye trays. They were both so easy just adding vinegar and/or water and letting them do their thing!! I quickly realized though, that my kids had very specific color preferences, and I was the only person who veered away from the blue/greens. What’s up with that?!

I made sure to put the kids in their aprons, because being 3 and 5 I just anticipated spills happening. I was pleasantly surprised that there were no spills only a few splashes from plopping eggs!

The color of the eggs were beautiful. I had the kids dye fake plastic eggs so that we can now use them as home decor.
