DIY scalloped Lamp Shade

I’ve wanted a statement lamp in my living room for a while, but couldn’t find one that I really liked. So I finally decided to make my own. This is the easiest DIY scalloped lampshade you’ll ever make, and it only takes 5 minutes!!!!!

Make sure to mark on your circle template where you are going to trace. The best is about 1/3-1/2 of the circle. Then starting at the bottom of the lamp shade, put the template on the front center, and trace, using the elmers painters pen, the template from one marking to the other. Trace from the middle over to the back of the lamp shade. Then start back at the middle and go the other way around to the back. It may not meet exactly, but that’s ok cause nobody will see the side that’s facing the back.

Start the second row at the point of the first row. Repeat the above technique all the way around the lampshade. But like I said, each one wont line up in back and you’ll gradually see it not matching up perfect as you go up the lampshade. That’s because it’s circular and also gets smaller at the top. But it’ll still look great!

See, the back doesn’t look the best; but you wont even see it

This is super easy, and now I’m excited for all the possibilities that I can make. Maybe a red/white/blue one for 4th of July?
