Embroidered initial frames – Amy Tangerine on HSN

This project post is a part of a marketing campaign with Snap. Although this post is sponsored the project idea and all opinions expressed are my own.
Amy Tangerine Plus One Kit

I have always been a huge fan of the embroidered look. I love embroidery hoops, the great designs and cute sayings are an endless possibility. But I have never tried it. I’m not sure what I was afraid of, I just always thought it would be super hard. Well when I received the Amy Tangerine Plus One kit in the mail I knew this was my chance to try it. And to make it less stressful, it combines paper crafting with the embroidering!

I wanted to start simple, so I decided to make embroidered initial frames for the kids’ room. it’s fun to make them these cute things for their shared room.

These embroider stencils are so simple to use. You lay the the stencil in place, and using the little poker thing make holes all the way around the letter, and if you want to make a center line, make the holes there too! Then all you do is thread the string that came with it on a needle and weave it in and out.

I used the fun feather paper from the Plus One kit. I loved the neutral feel of it, and then added the kids’ favorite colors in the letter and the teeny tiny washi tape on the frame. Oh, and speaking of the washi tape… it didn’t stick to the frame very well so I put a layer of Mod Podge over the top to hold it in place.

I love how they both look sitting on top of the dresser in the kids’ room. Now I think I may need to change their bedding to match the frames!
