Last week was crazy busy at our house. I had neglected housework in an attempt to get caught up here on the blog, hang out with the kids and get some much needed projects done. Well, all of a sudden I realized I hadn’t made my bed in a week, the hubby didn’t have any clean work clothes and the kids’ toy room was a whole other story. So I figured with family and friends coming in town, we would focus on getting the house back in working order. But it really is crazy how much time things take. I swear there is no possible way for a mom to get everything done in a day. I was doing super good at getting things accomplished around the house.

Holy crap, it’s 2:30 in the afternoon and I still haven’t eaten anything. I fed the kids 2 meals and didn’t even eat myself. Normally this is when I would throw a burrito in the microwave, run to the drive thru or just eat “snacks” until dinner time. But not anymore because I have discovered Lean Cuisine’s new #HonestlyGood meals. (I’m sure when these were in the naming stage, they did some studies to figure out what to call them, and someone said “these are honestly good”. Because honestly, these are GOOD!) There’s not many freezer meals, and especially healthy freezer meals that I can devour and then wish I had more!
My favorite flavor, from the ones I’ve tried so far, is the Pomegranate Chicken. It was so so so yummy, and I seriously got done and wished I had another! Don’t get me wrong, the other ones were really good too, but I definitely could have eaten 3 of these!
These were super simple to make. They come with their sauce in a little package that you thaw in water while it’s doing it’s first cooking cycle. Then top the chicken with the sauce and cook it’s second cycle (according to the package). I love that this comes with the full meal. Sides and all! I barely get to eat the veggies from the meal though, because my kids always walk by and steal them from my plate! But hey, if they pass the Barker Kid test, they must be great vegetables.
One of my favorite things about these new meals is that together with their farmers, they’re donating a portion of the vegetables grown for LEAN CUISINE HONESTLY GOOD meals to local communities!

Kay, I am totally trying this! I have been so busy lately that this would be perfect on those busy days so that my hubby and kids actually get fed! The pomegranate chicken looks so good!
Definitely a great alternative to drive thru or cold cereal!!!
The pomegranate chicken was my favorite too – so yummy!
right? very good
Okay, I need to try this one since a lot of you bloggers have suggested it!
It’s really a great tasting meal. Something I have never really gotten from a meal like this.
I have heard of these – I so want to try out the pomegranite chicken one!
you should. Its amazing
All the colors in this meal makes me happy! And I really think you have a good eye for taking pictures!
Awe thanks Amber. You’re too kind. I agree that the colors make me happy. So much easier to eat a meal that is colorful (does that make me sound weird?!)
I have a sudden desire for pomegranate. These look amazing! Gorgeous!
Just come here. I still have 8 of mine left…they wont last long though!
I love having healthy frozen meals on hand for those crazy days! When I am shopping I find myself in front of the freezers and puzzling over which kind to try. Glad I have some good suggestions now!
Definitely give these a try. My family has tried 3 of them so far and haven’t been disappointed yet!
Looks delish! Thanks for the ideas!
I’ve always wondered what to do with pomegranate. This looks divine.
Yum, I have to find myself that pomegranate kind! Looks delicious.
Try requesting it at your Target. I’ve found that if they get a demand they will most likely start to order it in, or more if it’s always empty on the shelf.
That looks delicious! I can’t wait to try them.
I had this today at lunch and it was great!!
SO delicious looking!
