Today I was in the middle of a project {ssshh, it’s a secret, don’t tell} and I was waiting for the paint to dry, so of course I pulled up a chair to enjoy a little Studio 5 from my DVR. It was such a great show today, and very uplifting, but also inspiring because of a segment that Melissa from Hollyhocks & HoneyBees did on fun garlands. It was JUST what I was needing to finish off my {secret} project.
She showed a paper straw garland and I knew I had to make one. So I did…right then and there!
And I made a fun little tutorial video for you all!
I am LOVING how it turned out. All I did was cut paper straws into small sections {they were not equal, just semi close to the same size}. Then using a flat head screwdriver, I pushed the bakers twine thru the center, strung them all to the length that I needed, and then hung it on my secret surprise.
I am totally dying over this cuteness. Like, how has nobody come up with this before? I’m not quite sure {well, maybe someone has, and I’m just late to the party!}
PS, stay tuned for my “secret” project later on this month. It’s a fun new item from Cricut.
