“I love you to the Moon and BACK”

Everynight when the kids go to bed, we tell them “I love you to the moon and back”. Its been something I’ve always said to them and it started when The Little Man was born. I’ve wanted to hang a sign that said it in his room ever since, but never found one that I really liked. So I decided to make one!
I love it, because the heart is over where we live, with the path leading to the moon and back.
I wanted it really large, and immediately I thought of the frame that my friend Staci from The Potters Place made. So I went for it. I printed my picture as a 16×20 poster, and made my frame just a tad smaller than that.
I got a 1x3x8 piece of wood from Lowes. We went for the more finished ones so that it would save me from sanding all day! It was only like $3.50 and we still had a bit left after making the frame.
We cut it on a 45 degree angle measuring from the insides of the angle.

I then sanded down the corners and then matching them each up, used an L bracket to put it together.

Then all that was left was priming and painting!

I then taped the poster to the back, and TA-DA!! All done.
Now it sits atop their dresser in their room, so they have a constant reminder of how much we love them!

I love the frame, but have to admit that the print is my favorite by far! And I’ve made them available for download too. I have made them in 4 different colors, and also changed the area of the heart from Northern Utah to both Southern and Central Utah as well.
