Even though I do not have a mantel, I decorate my shelf like it is one. And this year, I didn’t change much from how it was from last year’s winter décor. I loved it so much.
Although this year I did add a yarn pom pom and sparkle ribbon garland, and added my cupcake wrapper tree. The colors are so bright and fun, I can’t help but smile when I see it!
You can find my wooden letters tutorial here and check out how I made the wreath with this tutorial on Tatertots and Jello’s blog.
What colors come to mind when you think of Winter?

I love the look of your wreath! Where did you get the frame? Is it like a shadow box frame?
That shelf is awesome! I love your wintry mantel–it’s great to have something in between christmas and valentine’s day.
I think of blues, whites, silvery grays as the colors of winter, some tans too since the trees are mostly bare, except for pines of course. God is wonderful, he does give colder winter climates some green in the winter with the evergreens. Love your display.
so cute!
I’ve seen this in the background of your pics on Instagram… I love it! I’ve wanted to copy your shelf idea for some time… but I have to wait until I have the space to hang it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this! So simple, but very pretty 🙂
I love how crisp and cheery it is!! Beautiful job!
