Recently my neighbor/friend had a baby, and everyone in the neighborhood quickly signed up to bring them dinner. I know that even after those times pass a new Mom will still have those days where cooking dinner just seems like a little too much. So I made a quick freezer dinner (recipe coming soon!) and whipped up a ruffle onesie for the new little baby, and took it over.
After making the onesie, I decided this is something that I need to make a bunch of, and keep on hand for other new babies.
All I did was ruffle a large strip of fabric then cut to length for the neck (make sure to sew the ends closed to avoid fraying) then attached. I then used the excess to put a fun ruffle on the bum of the onesie! It turned out so cute, and I can just picture a tiny little one having tummy time with that ruffle sticking up!
I packed it up in a little bag and tied it with some twine!
I plan on making a couple of these with different fabrics and colored onesies so that I have them for when my next friend and/or neighbor has a baby! Hopefully I can come up with a fun boy version soon!
