Homemade Oreos

Tonight I made {and slightly ate} these yummy oreos! I had a weird craving for oreos, but instead of running out to the store, I through the apron on The Little Man and we made oreos!

So yes, the ones pictured above are made by a 2 year old! As he says “Easy Peasy”!

Homemade Oreos
Preheat oven to 350

1 cup butter
4 eggs
2 boxes Devils Cake Mix

Mix above ingredients until forms dough. Roll into cherry size balls and bake for 6-8 minutes (I bake for 7 in my oven).

Remove immediately from the cookie sheet and let cool on rack. Once completely cool, put Cream cheese frosting, I use the store bought kind, on one cookie, and smoosh in between another (usually the little one’s favorite part!).

If you want, you can roll the edges in toppings. We did sprinkles but then I got an idea to crush up candycanes.

YUMMY! This was the best topping I’ve had on them.

You can customize them for any holiday (ps, I added food coloring to my frosting to make it red. Could be fun in any color!)
