Ok, this is my wonderful intro into our newest series!!
Garden MADNESS 411
I am truely not sure what all is going to happen in this series, because it is all a work in the making. But I have had many requests for posts on this topic, as gardening is a fabulous way to save your family money on fresh produce! But if you are like me, you get completely overwhelmed when it comes to gardening. You feel like you are in a whirlwind and it all turns to MADNESS!
Last year was my first attempt at our own garden…well with not a whole lot of planning and apparently no common sense, we MADE and PLANTED a marvelous garden.
Cantelope, peas, tomatos, and pumpkins.
I was so excited! But after day ONE, yes day ONE, my wonderful dog dug up every single plant.
Sooooo, I RE-planted them, only to find them dug back up the next day.
Needless to say, we had no fresh produce last summer.
This year, I am going to attempt a garden again!
We are in a new house, and because it is a duplex, I do not have a garden area. So, I will be planting in little garden boxes both on the front porch as well as the back. I’m hoping the landlord will let us use our 5×5 garden box that we built last year!!
Who else is planting a garden this year?
What are you concerns?
What questions might you have that I can help find answers to?
We are all in this together, so please leave your questions in the comment section or email them to [email protected]

I am also planting a garden again this year. I have plenty of room in our back yard I want to plant a pretty good sized garden. I have done a garden with my mom before and last year I did 2 Zucchini plants. I am super excited about a garden this year. I am unsure when I need to start the garden. What all are you planting this year?
