Sometimes it can really suck to have a holiday like Valentine’s day fall on a week day. I want to spoil my hubby, celebrate with my kids, and have a day full of “Us” and fun times. But unfortunately so many times we only get a quick “Good Morning, Good Bye” until late evening on that holiday. So I decided this year I will be making the best of the day even though Sean will be at work.
On Monday I will be sharing some quick and easy ideas for “Little Reminders” of your love throughout the day. But today, I’m sharing a fun idea for breakfast before your loved ones have to run out the door to school or work.![]()
Make your favorite pancake batter, and then put in some pink or red food coloring. After you have colored it, put it in either a decorating tube or a frosting bag with just a circle tip. This will make it easy to pipe out words or to draw your shape {heart}.
Then all you have to do is cook the pancake as normal but in the shape or word you want. I mean, who wouldn’t love a cute heart with the word “love” for breakfast?!
Do you plan on making a fun breakfast for your loved ones?
If you use one of my tutorials, I’d love to see. Send me a link or picture to Vanessa {at} OurThriftyIdeas.com
