Layered Halloween Drink

this is such a fun idea for a Halloween Party. Who knew it was that easy to layer colors all in one drink.

HALLOWEEN IS COMING!! I am so excited to get all of our decorations up, have parties, pick out costumes and stock up on chocolate! This post is the start of a whole bunch of fabulous Halloween ideas.

I have seen these color layered drinks a few times, but I never knew how easy they really were to make; and figured I couldn’t be the only one. The hardest part is picking what colors you want. I let the kiddos pick, and although they aren’t full Halloween colors, it’s still a great drink and very festive once you add in the Halloween straws with flags that I’m sharing over at Pretty Providence today.

You will want to pick about 3 different colored drinks, all with varying sugar contents. You can find this on the nutrition information guide on the back of your bottles.

Very first thing, you want to starts with a glass or pitcher completely full of ice. Once you have all of your containers full, start with whichever drink has the MOST sugar content. Tip your container a little and pour SLOWLY about 1/3 (or however many colors you have) full. Then slowly pour the next highest sugar level drink over the top, once again as slow as possible to avoid the drinks mixing, another 1/3 full. Finish by topping it off with the last drink until full.

The colors may slightly mix, but that gives it a fun effect. Also, mine separated a bit once I was done pouring and the drink was settled.

For my drink, I used a clear soda, an energy drink and an orange citrus drink. Like I said, I let the kids pick, but I also steered them from flavors that I didn’t think would taste very good together. This would be fun in a large glass pitcher, but once you start pouring it will mix up a bit. Pouring into individual servings is time consuming but also so dang cute!
