Guys, I found this frame on a local yard sale group and fell in love! It’s a 24×28 OLD frame, and it most definitely needed some TLC coming it’s way. But for $15, I couldn’t pass this beauty up. I had plans to strip it, prime and paint then give it a good destressed look on all the detail. But once it was fully primed with the grey I couldn’t go any further because I loved the way it looked. The solid color still makes the detail pop, and it’s a great contrast to our white walls.
I purchased some chicken wire for $10 at Lowes, cut it down to size and stapled it to the back of the frame. Then hung the frame just inside my front door.
I have a small section in between the door and the front window, and knew this was just the place for it. I had great plans of using this for Christmas to hold all the holiday cards we get in the mail, but it can’t stay bare until then. So I got to it and decorated for Halloween. It makes such an impact as you come in the door.
I used the printable I shared last week, printed it in a 8×10 and then just used some tiny green clothes pins to hang it. I got a bunch of these colored skeletons from Walmart for $1 and just stuck them into the chicken wire. I used my Halloween garland from last year, and my favorite part is the witches hats that hang down from the ribbon.
Make sure to print out your free Halloween printables that I shared last week. There’s so many different ways to use them!
