We’ve been looking at Summer like it is quickly coming to a close because my kids go back to school in just a few weeks. But in all honesty, we just hit the hottest temperatures of the year and it’s slightly scorching outside! We are living on ice water, sprinklers, and the pool has become our home away from home. But one of the best parts of the HOT weather is sitting under the tree and enjoying a cool treat. Starburst recently came out with some sorbet bars that are so yummy. The bars gives have the same taste as the strawberry fruit chew in a cold and refreshing sorbet bar with only 70 delicious calories per bar. Since I heard about them, I’ve been checking my Walmart consistently. They kept getting them in, and I kept being too late because they were selling as fast as they could stock them! So when I caught them in stock, I bought 2 boxes. They come 4 to a box ($3.99) so it’s perfect for my family.
We enjoyed one box as soon as we got home. Everyone enjoyed them and the kids instantly asked for another. But I had a special treat in mind so I made them hold off a day to have another, but they didn’t complain once they knew what we were making Cherry-Berry Limeade Floats
- 1 package Cherry Limeade drink powder
- 1 cup sugar
- water
- 4 pack Starburst sorbet bars
- prepare your cherry limeade by combining the appropriate amount of water, 1 cup sugar and the flavor packet. Chill in the fridge until ready to use
- Place a sorbet bar in the bottom of a glass and top with the chilled cherry limeade. Use the stick to stir the sorbet into the drink.
- Serve immediately
After everyone had some, we all wanted more. So we went back to Walmart and luckily they had some in stock, so we were able to get more and have since had these floats a few more times since the original. Wanna try this recipe for yourself? I’ve giving away 2 coupons for a free box of sorbet bars. Enter to win below.

Usually in the summer we eat lots of Otter pops. Cheap and the kids love them. My favorite summer drink, especially this year, has been a dirty diet dr pepper. But I think I will have to give this a try. A grown up treat!
