Do you remember my Christmas Specimen Art? Well as soon as it was time to take it down, I started planning my next one. I was so excited about the idea I had for St Patrick’s Day that I completely skipped over the other holidays/seasons in between! Oh well!
You can download my Cricut Craft Room file for this project to save some time!
Each shamrock needs 3 of the shape. But you need 2 forward facing, and one backwards one. So, using my Cricut Mini, I cut the first page 2 times with my patterned paper facing up, and the 3rd time with the pattern facing down. That way they would line up perfectly to give the color and pattern on both sides of the pop-up shape.
Then I traced along the outside lines with a liquid glue pen from Martha Stewart, and stuck the two opposite shamrocks together. Then folding those two in half, I put a line of glue down the third shamrock and glued them together.
For the pot of gold, I used the same glue pen to color on the top part of the pot and dipped it into my new Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating Glitter….oh yah, I’m obsessed!
Then using a foam adhesive, I placed them all into place on my rainbow paper, which was created by gluing 2 inch strips of paper in the rainbow color order, onto another piece of 8×10 paper.
Stick it in your frame, and you’re done!!!
