I’m obsessed with apple desserts, especially in the Fall. So when I needed a quick treat to take with me to a girls night, I knew exactly what I wanted. Apple pie! But I didn’t have time to make a whole pie, so instead I opted for hand pies instead.
They are super simple and don’t take a lot of ingredients so it’s the perfect dessert to whip up.
Ingredients:
- 1 package pie crust
- 1 can apple pie filling
- caramel dip
Roll out the refrigerated pie crust. Use a large cookie cutter to create a circle about 3 1/2 inches in diameter in the crust. I used my Pampered Chef sandwich cutter & sealer. but you can do it with a regular cookie cutter. Once they are all cut out, put a small dab of caramel on one half of the crust.
Fold the pie in half and if you use the cutter & sealer, seal the pie by pressing down on the handle. If you aren’t, just use the pinch method to seal them closed.
After they are sealed, sprinkle them with some sugar and then place on a baking sheet. I cook mine on a sheet of parchment paper. Bake at 450* for ~13 minutes or until golden brown.
