I’m gonna get a little personal for a minute. It’s hard for me these days to see myself in pictures. I’m not a person who focuses on size, or body type or the number/letter on the tag but it’s still hard to see myself and compare my body to where it once was. I’m constantly wondering how and what I can do differently to change my body. I know that I’m not alone in this right? I was lucky to grow up without having body image issues, and because of my active dancing lifestyle I had a body I could even be proud of when I was younger.
I had to realize that I have a body now, as a mom, to be proud of!
Well although it’s been hard for me the last few years, I had to realize that I have a body now, as a mom, to be proud of! Is my stomach flat? NOPE Do I have some wiggly upper arms? YUP and although those may not be the most flattering things for what society makes you think you should be…..but it’s me, and I’m proud of who I am!
Sometimes it takes a picture of me skipping by my kids to make me remember, that putting my family first isn’t for nothing!
I’ve recently discovered the swing style dress and pretty much live in it now. There’s so many days that I don’t have much time to get myself ready before school dropoff, errands, and work. Who am I kidding, there’s some days that it’s dinner time and I haven’t even looked in the mirror yet! Those days though, can be made better by throwing on the most comfortable thing in the closet….a dress!!
On days that I DO get ready, I love pairing my swing dress with some fun booties, belt it at a high empire waist, and for fall/winter it’s been great with a scarf!
Although I LOVE my days where I don’t even get dressed…it truly is great to have the perfect go to outfit that I can feel comfortable and beautiful in. I can’t wait to buy this dress in 5 more colors!
