Bake yourself some amazing Homemade Apple Chips using nothing but what you already have at home. No dehydrator needed! Then you’ll have a healthy snack you and the kids can enjoy
Did you see my periscope about how to make apple chips without a dehydrator? Well if not, you are in luck because today I’m gonna share the recipe here on the blog!
We use two different kinds of apples. A Gala apple and dry it plain, and then a Granny Smith apple and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top to give that sour taste a little more sweet!
Once we pick the apple, I slice the entire thing super thin. Only about 1/4 inch thick (or thinner!) all the way down the apple from top to bottom. There will be pieces that have the core in it, just use the point of the knife to cut a circle around the core.
Then put some parchment paper down on a cookie baking sheet and lay the apples out on top of that in a single layer.
Then you will bake them at 225• for 3 1/2-4 hours.
These are an inexpensive and easy way to give your kids a great after school snack and healthy treat for whenever they want a bite. Plus, you’ll love them. I take a baggie of them in my purse almost everywhere I go.
