These are my favorite cookies of all time. My whole family loves them, and my Dad even requests them often when it’s been too long since I have dropped by with a batch.
I have made these cookies for years….15 maybe. And I’m not sure I will ever use a different one. This is definitely a keeper, so I thought I would share the recipe.
This recipe was originally from the back of the Tollhouse bag of chocolate chips. I have tweaked and changed a few things over the years though.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 sticks butter (brought to room temp)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Start by sifting the dry ingredients together in a medium bowl. Set aside
Cream the butter in a mixer for about 30 seconds. Add both granulated and brown sugars and mix. Put in eggs and vanilla then mix for about 30 seconds.
Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until well combined. Do not over mix.
Dump in chocolate chips and hand stir into the dough.
Drop small size balls onto a cookie sheet and cook for 8-10 minutes (I have almost always used 9 minutes, but my current oven does take a little longer) until slightly golden. Remove immediately from cookie sheet and cool on a cooling rack.
I am always trying chocolate chip cookie recipes! Thank you for sharing yours. Pinning!
