I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for OshKosh B’gosh. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.
It’s that time of year, when I have to start thinking about sending out Holiday cards, and also the one time a year I am allowed to even mention the phrase “Family Pictures”. You would think that it was a swear word to Sean. So long ago, we made a compromise that we can do family photos 1 time a year. Unless we just had a child, we usually plan them for just before sending out Holiday cards so they are recent (ya know, cause I never post photos of my family on social media for people to see!) But I swear this year I am still in a funk after moving down south. With being away from all photographers I know, and any locations we have shot at before, I definitely was hesitant for photos this year.
I went about them in a different way this time. I took the kids to OshKosh B’gosh and told them we were going to have family pictures taken and they needed new outfits for them. I then let each of them pick their own clothes. This is normally something I would never even think of doing, but I really knew that no matter what they chose it would be darling because there wasn’t anything in that store I wouldn’t be happy with!
Aren’t their outfit choices cute!! We ended up coming home with a TON of clothes! Between their awesome prices, coupons (like this 25% off a $30 purchase) and the awesome rewards I got amazing deals for all the clothes! I’ve determined that they have inherited my fashion sense; and they may be even better at it from time to time!
The fun clothes that they picked for pictures are such a great representation of their personalities. Gracie is about everything PINK and with mixing patterns. And Will has a collection of train shirts that would amaze any 4 year old, but this one has Santa!! So of course we have had to wear it multiple times already, and had to do a quick wash before pictures.
We didn’t have a photographer this year, so the group photos were taken with a timer on the tripod, but I think that they still turned out really good.
Of course, not every photo was great…..and we had to be humorous from time to time.
I definitely love this family of mine….and it’s a good thing that those kids are so cute so that I don’t trade them from time to time!
Now the next big decision, what photos to use for our holiday card?
Vanessa, these pictures are SO cute, and the kids’ clothing is adorable! I love OshKosh! The goofy face picture is my favorite, but they all look great. I would have never known they were just taken with a tripod and timer! 🙂
