One of my best friends is having a baby next month, and it’s definitely been hard knowing that there’s a chance I may not be there for it. I am planning on coming up, but who knows if he will be early, late, etc. Since a huge part of me feels guilty for not being there, I knew that a cute homemade card would make it better, just in case I couldn’t be there for it.
Isn’t a handmade card one of the best things you can receive?
I thought I would share the card I made her. All of it is cut using my cricut cutter, which made it way super simple.
I love the little charms of a bear, bottle and duck!
I just wrapped a strand of bakers twine around the card to hang them from.
The shape of the card is probably my favorite, but I also love his name across the bottom of it.
I haven’t decided if I’m gonna send it to her, or take it with me, whether early or late to his birth!
What would you do? It is always fun to receive a letter in the mail, right?
If you’re interested, the cartridges that I used are:
- Baby Card – Doodlecharms
- Charms – A Childs Year
- font – All mixed up
I do think a handmade card is one of the best things you can receive. I have kept the ones I’ve received because they’re special to me. I know how much time and love went into crafting it. Your best friend will love it.
I agree. I’m a sentimental who likes to keep things like that too! So glad I’m not the only one.
I’m a HUGE card person. I LOVE getting them and I especially love sending them! I don’t have much time to make them by hand… someday 🙂
Yvonne, this card was so quick using my cricut! I’m going to start making cards so much more now that I know how quick and easy it was.
