I’ve seen some bloggers write up posts about a day in the life of them. It’s kinda fun to see what happens in other’s lives, and how some people deal with circomstances compared to myself. Today, I thought I would do kinda the same thing but with a twist. Remember the new phone that I told you I got last month? Today I am going to share a day in the life of my phone! Because let’s be honest, it’s the most interesting part of my life anyway.

Now, i introduce you to, my LG L9 t-mobile phone, Waldo:

8:30 am – I was delivered to The Barker House. The Little Man grabbed me right away and ran to get scissors. Naughty boy…you aren’t supposed to use those without asking Mom first.

9:00 am – Vanessa really hasn’t even had a chance to get to know me yet. All she did was download 2 games, and the kids took over from there. I really love that they got to know me so quick. I love being played with, and because my screen makes it easy to display the app icons, the kids can have a page dedicated to just me! They can pick a game just based on what the icon looks like. The dinosaur one seems popular right off the bat.

10:00 am – Vanessa packed up me and the kids to head into Walmart in order to get #FamileMobileSaves service for me. I think she was a little bugged though. Although they said that the phone counter opened at 9, there wasn’t anyone there to help us, and it took almost 15 minutes before the guy stopped flirting with the other worker and came to help. Oh well, as least the rest of the process was painless! Oh, and it gave Vanessa time to take pictures of my other phone friends, and analyze the plans available for purchase

10:30 am – Vanessa picked the Lowest Price Rate Plan which was an Unlimited Plan from T-mobile for just $40. How smart is she? She’s currently paying $160-180 a month for just 2 phones. Think of all the fun we could have together with the money she is saving. Maybe even buying me a whole bunch of new apps….and some cute clothes (I think you guys call them wallpapers). But I think that I heard her say she was gonna use them money to take the family out for Family Date Night at the bowling ally and splurge on treats. I guess that’ll be fun too!

She’ll also be saving time, because to manage her new account, all she has to do is login to her account online and she can get everything done from her jammies if she wants!

11:00 am – we had a complete melt down in the middle of the store. Wow, that two year old sure can scream….LOUD! But that’s ok. Because I was to the rescue right away with my puzzle app that Vanessa had downloaded via WiFi even before coming to the store. I guess that’s one of the best parts of being WiFi capable. She didn’t even have to have data turned on the phone to get an app!

Noon – It was time to eat, and Vanessa knew that because they had been out running errands, she owed the kids. So she went to get takeout, and took the kids to the park. I’m not a big fan of the park, so much sand and dirt. But luckily Vanessa took some time to sit under the tree, set up her email using my Email app. Then she logged into Facebook so that she could get one of her pictures and set it as her background.

1:30 pm – It was nap time for Baby Girl Barker. So we headed back home and did a quick bath (too much sand in the kiddo’s hair!), changed clothes then to put her to sleep.

1:45 pm – Vanessa put me on the charger and let me have a nap too!

3:00 pm – Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit!! They weren’t much interested in me. But it’s a good thing I was around. Because The Little Man talked Grandpa into helping him climb the tree. I didn’t get a picture IN the tree, but at least I got some of them playing around it! I’m so handy to have around for a quick picture opp!

4:45 pm – We thought Sean was going to be home early for dinner, but turns out he wasn’t. So we went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. Everyone is so indecisive that I had to Google “restaurant” and let them pick from my list. Sandwiches it was! Oh, and did I mention that Vanessa got dessert too, because she knew that she’d be saving some good money now that she has me!

5:55 pm – I had an incoming call from Sean. What a funny conversation. He didn’t recognize the phone number that Vanessa had called him from earlier (duh, it’s a brand new number!) so she played with him saying “I can’t believe you don’t know who this is” in weird voices before finally telling him that it was her. LOL! He was on his way home. So we ordered him some “To Go” food, said our goodbye’s to Grandma & Grandpa then headed home.

6:30 pm – I guess it would normally be bath time right now, but because they had one earlier in the day, Vanessa downloaded a storytelling app, and we had family time gathered around while they let me read the stories!

7:00 pm – BED TIME! Apparently this is a great time for Vanessa. I guess I could see why the kids wear her out. But I kinda wish they would have stayed up a little bit longer to play with me more. But she did promise that the kids could use me to watch Netflix in the morning. Ugh, guess I don’t get much say in it tonight!

8:00 pm – Vanessa is done with picking up the house, and got done with her workout, so she decided to start taking weird pictures. Wow, they are an odd couple!

10:00 pm – Vanessa said this is an “early night”. I guess they are normally up later than this. But after some Facebook browsing, Instagram uploading and a quick call to a friend I guess I am pretty tired. So Vanessa put me on my charger and let me go to sleep for a bit….

12:45 am – Baby Girl Barker woke up. She must be crazy in the head. Because it’s pitch black outside and I’m pretty sure that the rest of the world is sleeping right now. And now Vanessa is wide awake after getting her back to sleep.

1:20 am – Vanessa finally got tired again after doing some online shopping (yah, she’s crazy and does that in the middle of the night) on me. I’m tired too. Goodnight world.

7:40 am – The kids just woke up. They came running into the room, jumped on Vanessa and begged for Netflix. Guess it’s time to wake up and start the day over again. Yah!!

Thanks so much for the play by play Waldo. Now should we tell everyone where you got your name? One of The Little Man’s favorite books is the “Where’s Waldo” books. Because my phone is constantly in everyone’s hands, going from room to room, and being used by everyone it gets lost A LOT! So we now call it Waldo and we often have our own real life version of Where’s Waldo!

    • Shawna, I really am pleased with it. Its nice to know that it goes thru a major mobile carrier. T-mobile is the one who services it, with no contract. It is definitely a great choice!
