Baby Girl Barker loves having bows in her hair. She always asks for certain ones, and I love when I can make her a new one that she is excited to wear. Who knew that my little girl would be so picky already?! But I made her these scrap ribbon ones and she immediately made me put them in her hair, even though they didn’t match her outfit.
I started by cutting a bunch of strips of ribbon. I did equal amounts of ribbon for both ribbons (because she usually wears piggies, I usually make 2 bows!)
Then using a hot glue gun, I laid each one on top of the next, just rotating slightly on the diagonal.
can you tell that I made this on my lap, outside, watching the kids ride bikes?!
The last ribbon I wrapped around the whole lot, and tied it into a loose knot, and secured in place with the hot glue gun (only on the top)
Once the ribbons are done, then I wrapped the aligator clips with a matching ribbon. I hot glued, yet again, the inside of the top teeth, and continued it around the top, and wrapped it around the other end (see picture below)
Then I put the clip thru the loop on the bottom of the bow, and hot glued in place.
Aren’t they so cute in her hair? PS, she would NOT hold still for a decent picture, so these were all taken as I chased her around the backyard for 20 minutes!
These are so cute! She looks darling with them in her hair. Pinned!
Adorable. Wishing I had a little girl to model these because I don’t think I could pull it off 🙂 Thank you!
This turned out super cute!
I like that they sort of look like fireworks. Prefect for fourth of july.
I’ve got loads of ribbon scraps I should so do this
How easy is this? And honestly, how much scrap ribbon do I have – this is a must!
Super cute! I put these in my dogs hair all the time. I wish I could share a picture.
