Dear Mosquito

I know that I have been complaining about the cold for months
I’ve said many silent prayers for warmer weather
The slightest sight of spring brought us outside to play

and I am horrible at leaving the front door open while I ~~rock out~~ listen to my music
(no I was not born in a barn, though my husband may disagree)

You made your appearance WAY too early this year;
You keep my up at night
You keep me on edge all day

my peripheral vision is starting to get tired

I have to have the swatter with me at all times
I look like a fool swatting at what only I can see in the air
While trying to teach you a lesson

Don’t bite Vanessa; she fights DIRTY!

I am starting to look like I have a disease,

that creates huge red spots all over my body

(I swear I’m not diseased)

I scratch and itch all day long
And I have gone thru a whole thing of Benadryl itch stick already this year
I can 100% honestly tell you, that I am your #1
