Our Thrifty Ideas | Modest Mommy Monday | Trying out some modest and fashionable dresses for spring.
I’m a jeans and tee shirt kinda gal. Isn’t that kinda the Mommy standard outfit anyway? It’s kinda funny thought because I’m a complete girl girl. I swoon for a good lipstick, get weak in the knees (litterally) for a fabulous pair of heels, and dream of an event to wear a beautiful dress {insert me currently sitting in my hubby’s oversized sweatshirt and yoga pants here}. But I just haven’t gotten to that wardrobe to fit my girly girl side.
Today’s Modest Mommy Monday is going to be a little different. Because although I love to be fashionable, I definitely DO NOT have all the clothes I want. I would love to have the money to see an outfit that fit my modesty and fashionable criteria and buy it. But, I can’t! So instead I ooh and ahh over cute ones online, and then save up for a new outfit from time to time.
This last week has been COLD and really gloomy here in Utah, and I have had my eyes and heart set on the fun spring items coming out in stores, and all the catalogs being sent to my house. So today I thought I would do a wish board type of post and share with you some items that are on my list to buy this spring/summer.

Our Thrifty Ideas | Modest Mommy Monday | Trying out some modest and fashionable dresses for spring.
1- Multi Striped Maxi from Nordstrom – $78
2- Anne Klein Women’s Cap Sleeve Scoopneck Solid Dress – $98
3- Wrapper Paisley Floral Print Maxi Dress – $31.50
4- Jones New York Women’s Long Sleeve Lace Dress – $149

5- Lucky Brand Summer Lovin’ Mid Length Dress – $76
6- Lindy Bop ‘Juliet’ Classy Blue Polka Dot Dress – $46.99
7- Wrapper Striped Tube Top Dress – $31.50

My goal for spring and summer is to wear a lot of skirts and dresses. Let my girly side out to play and be stylish and cute at the same time. Also, I love that they are cool and you can be covered but not feel stuffy at the same time!

Do you like dresses for spring and summer time? Which of the above is your favorite?

  2. Thanks so much Candice. I love this outfit and really wanted to get a picture. But I sure froze my butt off out in that snow!
