A little paint, ribbon and a canvas will create this fun Christmas Tree art piece. Customize it however you want.
Today I’m excited to share with you a fun Holiday edition of the Craft Lightning series. I did this a few months ago, but this one is Christmas themed! All crafts have to take 15 minutes or less. Make sure to click on the button below to see all bloggers who are participating in the fun series.
I had a random canvas sitting around the house, that used to have The Little Man’s silhouette on it. I have seen some fun paper tree art, and took that into my ribbon tree!! I started by painting over the silhouette to make the top of the canvas a bright red color.
Then all I did was measured 1 inch shorter than the width of the canvas. Then cut my first strip of ribbon to that length. Then cut each end on a slant, to create the tree look. I attached it to the canvas with hot glue. Just put a line down the back of the ribbon, and place it in it’s spot on the canvas!
I then measured each piece of ribbon going up, to be slightly shorter than the previous strip, and slanting the ends. When I got to the top, I used a thicker ribbon and brought it to a point!
I love how it turned out, and especially love the non-traditional colors in the ribbons!!
Are you all decorated for the holiday?
