What can you make with a toilet paper roll?

DSCN9603

I’ve seen some fun projects lately made from toilet paper rolls. I started telling my husband to save them a couple months ago, and we accumulated a grocery bag full of them. So I finally decided it was time to do something with them. This couldn’t have come at a better time, because one night I got a bunch of ideas for Christmas décor! What?! You think it’s too early for Christmas? Not me!

I’m loving the look of these glittery ornaments. Although you could hang them on your tree, I’m using them as a back drop to my décor shelf! Soon there will be more fun decorations in front of these, but they will make a great impact in the background.

All you need for this is

  • Toilet Paper rolls
  • Mod Podge
  • Glitter
  • Scissors
  • twine

Cut your toilet paper rolls into 1-2 inch sections. Mod podge all around the tube and then dip it into a bowl of glitter, covering all sides.

Once the Mod Podge dries, tap the tube once or twice to release the loose glitter. Then punch a hole in the top, thread the twine thru and tie a knot to keep it from pulling back thru.

You can hang these on a tree, in your front window, or as a backdrop at your holiday table! There’s so many possibilities, and chances are, you didn’t pay anything for this fun décor.
