DIY Wooden Jack-O-Lanterns

Our Thrifty Ideas: DIY Wood Jack-o-lantern

At my house, The Little Man loves to play with the décor…like the ghosts get thrown around with “BOO” being screamed, the bat is hidden under pillows to scare Dad. So most décor needs to be child friendly, and he also loves to help in making them.

So this is a perfect project for Halloween where the child can help make a jack-o-lantern and it’s also something durable to hold up against a 3 year olds playing!

All you do is paint the 2×4 blocks, in whatever sizes. But mine were 4, 4.5 & 5 inches tall. Then I used the jack-o-lantern faces from Fabdecor to put on the front. They are just $1.75 a piece, so really affordable, and fun to decorate with.
