Intro to ME

We have gotten a bunch of new followers lately, so I wanted to get a little personal and let you into the crazy life of ME!
When people ask me to tell them a little about me, I get nervous, excited, and kinda freak out a bit. Because although I’m not a “all about me” type of person, I could talk for hours about myself. The reason? I love my life! I have been thru times in life where I am just “there”. Ya know that feeling, where you are just in a routine. Get up, get ready, go to work, eat sometimes, come home, clean, go to bed. Get up, and repeat.

Well almost 3 years ago I realized that my daily act of being “there” was about to change. I was about to become a MOM. What? Who does that?! haha.

Anyway, becoming a Mom changed my life forever. I went from working 60+ hours a week to a mostly stay at home mom that got to live life all over again thru the eyes of my energetic son. Being at home I started to discover this amazing world of blogs. I mean, I had a family blog before this, but I didn’t know that you could do something besides post annoying and {one day will become} embarrassing pictures of my kid!
So I started blogging. I was a “thrifty” blogger who mainly focused on coupons and deals. But I have since evolved and now I blog mainly about the greatest past time ever….CRAFTING!! I love me a good thrifty store find, some power tools, and a few cans of spray paint. Talk about therapy in a can!!

Now I have 2 lovely kids, and have quit working outside the home all together. I now call myself a “Play At Home Mommy” and I love {almost} every minute of it! Watching the ease of life and how the little things can be overcome with a good hug or by kissing it better. It gives one a new perspective on life!

So, ya want to know some of those random “I don’t really HAVE to know, but it’s fun to know anyway” facts about me?

I’m ADDICTED to Dr Pepper. No, I don’t think it’s a problem, and no, I have no intention of stopping. If I did, I may strangle my kids some days or sleep for weeks on end. If you meet me, I am most likely to have one in tow, and might even have a backup in the car!

Favorite Icecream – Chocolate. By far, just plain ol chocolate. Yum, I can taste it melting on my pallet right now.

I used to be a clogger – no, not those big wooden shoe people. Like a metal taps, bouncing up and down, and moving your legs REALLY fast type of dance. I loved every second of it, and even competed nationally and won many national titles with my team. I stopped when I became a Mom, and I miss it each and every day.

My all time favorite place in the world is the island of Kauai. It’s beautiful, peaceful. Warm yet you still get the random but warm rain showers. The smell outdoors is divine, and everyone is SO friendly. I dream of running away and never coming back. Of course I would take all my family, friends, and crafts with me!

I have been married for 5 and a half years. We were married on March 23, 2007. Some days I feel like it was just yesterday that we met, others I feel like we’ve been married for eternity because I barely remember life without him in it.

If I could have any paid, out of the home job, I would be a display designer for a big department store. Something like Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. You know those fun window displays showing off their fun items. I would DIE to be the one who got to put those together each season!

I hope that you enjoyed getting to know a little about me and my crazy fun life. I will be doing these periodically now, as I feel it is super fun to get to know people other than the “what you see is what you get” type of posts.
