Oreo Truffles

A few months ago I attended the cookie exchange at Tatertots and Jello. The cookie I brought home that my husband loved the most was the Oreo Truffles. So shortly after, I got together with Jesseca from Sweet Treats & Good Eats to make some of our own.

These are so yummy and now Sean is asking for them all the time. For the sake of my waistline, I refuse to make a whole batch just for my family.

Last week for girls night, we made some of the truffles to share among our families. With the little kiddos, I’m surprised any of them actually made it home!

Oreo Truffles

1 package Oreos (we were missing about 5…wonder where those went!)
1-8 oz package of cream cheese
Chocolate for dipping
Sprinkles for decorating

Crush up the oreos. I found the best way to do this is using the blender and only about 5 oreos at a time. Then dump them into a large bowl.
Mix the Cream Cheese into the crushed oreos using a pastry cutter or a fork.

Place into the freezer for about 30 minutes to help it set up.

Roll into large cherry size balls, and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Put them into the freezer again for about 15-20 minutes.

Once the balls are cold, melt your chocolate. Roll the Oreo Truffles in the chocolate and place on wax paper to harden.  Before the chocolate completely hardens, sprinkle it with seasonal sprinkles!

These are such a hit at my house. I’m not sure who has eaten more, My husband or my 2 year old!!
