Mommy Update

Life…. boy is it happening!
I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about when I say that. It’s like you get into a routine of the same mundane things, and all of a sudden something happens and life gets turned upside down and thrown against the wall, before landing gracefully on it’s feet in another room. Am I right?
Well it seems like the warm weather here in Utah has done that to us! Now instead of our daily routines, The Little Man wants to be outside, I want windows open with Garth Brooks blaring throughout the house, and Baby Girl Barker is growing and getting into everything.
Unfortunately, life is giving me a reality check that it isn’t always easy!
The Little Man is now ready to be potty trained, and although he is doing fantastic when we are home, it’s so hard because he wants to go to the park every waking moment.
Just as everyone else got healthy, I came down with a nasty upper respiratory infection. Oh, and did I mention that my 5 year anniversary is next week, and I have NO IDEA what to get my husband?! haha
I swear I did not start this post to complain about my life! I actually love every single minute of it. I love the learning aspect that potty training has been, I love to see Baby Girl learn new things everyday, and I especially love the cuddles I’ve been getting because The Little Man thinks that my “sickly man voice” is just a sign of me being sad instead of sick {oh the mind of a 2 year old!}
I really just wanted to brag about how amazing my kids are!

Baby Girl learned a new “trick” as her brother says, and it kills me every time.

And Daddy isn’t happy about this one….

(That last sentence is “I LOVE PINK!” haha)
I take NO blame for the love of pink at our house!

Oh, and I’ll be doing an in detail update on our potty training in the next few days. Just let me get healthy again and I’ll share all the fun details!

  1. Baby Gates are wonderful, especially when the things you don’t want them to get into, can be placed on the other side of them. Your kiddos are sure cute. Can’t blame the little man for wanting to go to the park. I’m feeling that way myself and I’m an adult. I want us to start having picnics every week at the park once it stays warm. Less crumbs in the house to pick up after a meal when you picnic at a park table and benches.

  2. Oh boy! You might want to teach him to say I love BYU BLUE! ha!

  3. Ryder loves purple. But lines red a lot
