LUCK Bursts

It’s not often that I am speechless. Just absolutely don’t have an answer to a comment, question, or statement. But today when my little 2 year old asked me “What’s ‘luck’?” I really didn’t know how to explain it to a two year old.  Lesson learned, don’t involve the kids in crafts they wont understand!!
(any suggestions on how to explain luck to him?)
I’ve been slowly making these bursts for our St. Patty’s Day decor. And when I say slowly, I mean S-L-O-W-L-Y. I started them about a week ago hoping to have piles of decor to put up the day after V-day. Well, with our family’s habit of getting sick, I have not had any time to finish projects. So I’ve been getting these bursts done with every spare second, here and there, I could find!
They are so simple. I first saw them at Tatertots and Jello when she decorated for V-day.
I took her basic concept and just spelled out “LUCK” for our little display shelf. I had the idea of doing the ombre colors. Fading from white to dark green. The idea was mainly because I didn’t have enough of all one color to do the whole word!! I was originally going to line them up in a straight line to spell the word, but it looked really dumb! I like the bunched idea, not so much how the word looks though. I may be changing the letters to a punch out or just a 4-leaf clover. Not sure yet… I still have a bit to make up my mind, right?
By the way, St. Patrick’s Day is March 17 for those who weren’t sure (like me. I had to look it up!)
I’m not sure what else to put on the shelf with the bursts. Any suggestions? Maybe a rainbow? Some gold? Too cheese?!
PS, can you see the mess up in the letters?
I was originally going to rotate green and white, but The Little Man lost my last green circle and I had already glued all the others…..oh well!
