Years ago, I used to always to to SLC and look at the ZCMI windows during Christmas time. They are always so extravagant and beautiful. It was so sad the year they couldn’t do it anymore. But I just found out that The Grand America has picked up the tradition.
Theirs is a little different however. They have decorated the window’s inside their lobby area according to the ABC’s of Christmas. They are done up so well, and it is fun to see the themes going along with the ABC’s. Plus, at the beginning of the Window Stroll, they give you a piece of paper with the ABC’s written out and as you go along, you write down what each letter stands for. Then at the end, when you turn in your ABC paper, they in turn give you a homemade treat from their bakery!! YUM!
This Window Stoll isn’t going on much longer. It runs thru December 24. So you have today, tomorrow, and Friday to go check it out. But I’m hoping this is a tradition they are going to keep up each year. They start the day after Thanksgiving!
