30 Days of Thankfulness

I know that I missed 2 days. But I really wanted to do this and it just slipped my mind the past 2 days. But don’t worry, I’ll make up for it today!
30 Days of Thankfulness:
Everyday in the Month of November, I am going to tell you something I am grateful for. I feel as though I run through life, and time passes so fast. I’ve learned to sit back and take advantage of the time and the LITTLE THINGS! It is funny how those little things truely are what makes our life so great. Not so little are they?!
If you would like to participate, and I hope that you will, please email me at [email protected] and let me know what you are thankful for {pictures are welcome as well}!. Everyone’s little reminders will help me in my life look at everything differently and should help everyone else as well!
If you don’t want to email, feel free to just leave a comment!

I am thankful for fall leaves! The beauty that they bring is incredible. I could stare at them for days. Oh wait, I do! Now the snow has come and most of the fall colors are covered up with snow, or have been knocked off the trees. So I star at my fake ones in my house! they are still just as beautiful, and the warmth the colors bring is amazing!

Day 9-

(This is a picture of Grandma Barker holding William for the first time. William’s full name is William Powell Barker named after her husband!)
I am so thankful for family. Unfortunately we lost Sean’s Grandma last night. She lived a long and fullfilling life. But it is still hard to see loved ones pass. These are times that you truely realize how lucky you are to have family with you. I have the priviledge of living in the same state as all immediate family members, and so many extended family members.  Being with family is the greatest. And now being a parent, family takes on a whole new meaning! When I thought I couldn’t love anyone more than I love my husband, I became a mom. The difference in the love I feel for William is beyond words.
Family is Forever!
We love and will miss you Grandma Barker. But we know you are in a happier and better place!

Day 8-
I’m thankful for Country Music!! It is funny how once the music turns on, my thought can change immediately. Memories come streaming back. new feelings immerge, and nothing but FUN is in the air! Boy what I wouldn’t give to go to a Garth Brooks concert right now!!!

Day 7-

I’m so thankful for friends. It is great that no matter what challenges you have going on in your life, or how great your life may be, you can always count on your friends for comfort, support, or to help cheer you on!

Day 6-

I am thankful for warm drinks! With winter on the rise, I turn to warm drinks for all my comforts! Hot Carmel Apple Cider is so amazing!! It might just be the best part of the cold weather! If I could, I would get a “carmel apple spice” from Starbucks every single day.

Day 5-

I am thankful for Cell Phones. I really don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t have that quick “hello” from my husband during the day. No matter where we are, we can get ahold of one another!

Day 4-

I am thankful for rear view mirrors. I always have mine positioned so that I can see behind the car, but also see William in his carseat. I truely love watching his imagination at work as we drive down the road!

Day 3-

I am thankful for socks. Two reasons….wearing socks makes you feel so cozy and warm. If I’m in a bad mood, all I need to do is put on a pair of socks and they immediately changes it!

Also, I love when William wears socks. He looks like a person stepping on ice in ice skates for the very first time. Watching him walk through the kitchen brings a smile to my face everytime. Sure, he may slip and fall almost everytime. But when he sees the smile on Mom’s face, it keeps him from crying and I can usually get him to laugh from it!

Day 2-

I am thankful for butterfly kisses. William’s hands are ticklish and he puts them on my eyes in attempt to get me to give him butterfly kisses. He quickly pulls them away, laughs, and then puts them back on my eyes. Sometimes it is more of a punch in the eye rather than just placing them on my eyes. But none the less, I love those moments each and every day.

Day 1 –

I am thankful for Dr Pepper. If you know me, you know that this is the one thing that keeps me sane. Not just because it’s a drink, but it keeps the migrains away {ok, so the migrains may be because I drink it too much, but that’s another story!}
Did you know that it used to be called Waco? Because it was invented in Waco TX!
