what are video value videos ?

Last night I had a status update on Facebook – “What are you doing on your Saturday night? I’m watching Rite Aid Video Value videos before they all disappear!”

I got a comment today from Darlene asking what are video value videos?”. This is a question I have received a few other times from readers and have answered personally through emails. But because this wasn’t the first time I have been asked this question, I figured I would answer it here on the blog for everyone!
One of the reasons why I LOVE Rite Aid shopping is because of how coupon friendly I have found them to be. They have a very coupon friendly policy and most of their employees are very educated on how the policy works so you wont come accross many problems. Most of them I come across are just computer errors!

When using coupons at Rite Aid, you can use up to 3 coupons per item…yes 3!
The policy states:

More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions:
o All coupons match the item being purchased.
o The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax.
o No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.

When you find a Manufacturer coupon in the ad with a Rite Aid logo on it, that is what they consider a “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon. That is because the UPC starts with 49. So you can stack that with a Manufacturer coupon from the sunday insert, internet printable, or other coupons you acquire! You can also use a Rite Aid store coupon in conjunction with these! You can find these coupons in the in-store coupon booklets, as well as online at their Video Value website.

Now onto “what are video value videos? You watch a video for a specific product through the Rite Aid website and in return you earn a coupon that you can later print off! They also have dollar amount coupons available on the site, such as: $4/20 purchase, $1/1 purchase, and sometimes a $5/$25 purchase!
It is a very easy way to save money at Rite Aid for just a little bit of time spent watching the videos.

When you watch a Video Value Video, you do need to pay attention, but not particualarly to the video! I watch my videos throughout the month (you want to watch all, cause you’ll never know when a sale will come next month for the previous month’s coupons!) as I watch TV or Movies late at night!

Once the video is over, you will have to type in the letters to claim your coupon! Then it will sit in your “rewards” tab until you print it out!
Today was the first day of  November’s Video Values, so head over and start watching your videos! You can watch them until November 27! On the 28th, it will switch over to December’s coupons!
Wow, is it really almost time to think about DECEMBER?!
