If you haven’t noticed yet, I have a new obsession with Etsy! It is a great place to find well crafted, and beautifully artistic items.
I decided to start my Christmas shopping extremely early this year, and in the process I found AMAZING items which became so hard to choose. The selection is endless, so I decided to narrow my search and help support the local Utah shops! There’s many reasons for this.
I am a current stay at home mom, and I know how it is to try to make an some extra money for the family while at home. There’s so many Utah mom’s who are doing the same while putting there great talents to use.
Also, when you choose local companies, sometimes you can message them with the option to pick up your purchase, which would save you from paying shipping! Yet again, saving money!
Also, a lot of these local companies do boutiques, farmers markets, and other small events that you can go meet the designers, and shop their items!
A great local shop that I found is Patchwink
She is such a talented girl and her talents are endless!
She does beautiful boutique bags

And check out this hand painted quilt she did!
And she even does jewelry!

But before we get to that, a little more about Patchwink!
“The name Patchwink is a play on words; my designs are a patchwork of many different elements. I’m inspired by great vintage fabrics, the perfect glass button, delicate metal scrollwork, chenille and paisley with polka-dots, anything with a great story that’s waiting to be told.
I love repurposing anything I can find and then experimenting with different mediums. My husband is very patient with my endless stack of “ugly ducklings” in the garage that are so beautiful in my mind!”
Patchwink can be found at different boutiques and other events locally! She is also going to be at the Farmer’s Market in SLC a few times before it comes to a close.
