Oh, I forgot, we went to Fresh Market tonight!!
So try by the meat counter the next time you are in!
Wow, I was EXTREMELY hesitant to have sloppy joes for dinner tonight, for the second night in a row. But somehow Sean convinced me that it was a good idea. So off we went to the store for more hamburger (I’m out of my stock in the freezer).
As you know, I have a really hard time paying full price for something now, and that’s why meat is so difficult! You almost never find coupons for meat, and when you do, it is for frozen stuff that is really expensive already.
I told Sean that if we were going to go to the store just for hamburger, we had to make the trip worth while and walk around looking for tear pad and blinkie coupons! LOL, you should have heard the huffs and puffs I got from him! Compromise is what a marriage is about right?! So we walked row after row and found very few coupons :(.
After grabbing our humburger, I was sulking from the cost ($2.53/lb) when I spotted them!!!! They were beautiful, right there infront of my face! Hanging out infront of the sea food/meat counter were a loot of Beer Rebates. Of course this involved more huffing and puffing from Sean as I flipped open each one to see what the rebate was for.
3 of them just for meat!!!
Do you know what Beer Rebates are?
Most stores have them in the beer cooler, or up front at customer service. But every once in a while, you will find them other places in the store! Beer companies put them out as an incentive to buy their product. BUT, in Utah, there is no need to buy beer to qualify!
The three I found today are:

What a GREAT way to save money on meat!
On the first rebate, you end up getting the meat for a 66% savings
On the second and third rebates, you end up getting the meat for a 60% savings
Every time you walk into the grocery store, it wouldn’t hurt to stop by the customer service counter and ask what Beer Rebates they currently have.
Because Utah isn’t required to purchase the beer included in the rebate, you end up getting amazing deals from these!!!

Oh I wonder if I’d have to be required to by beer out here with those. I guess if you have to–it’s good for keeping snails and slugs out of the garden.

Buying beer actually isn’t such a bad thing if you use it for your lawn though! It makes it really green! This is the recipe my husband uses for our lawn… it really works!
1 Can of Beer
1 Cup Ammonia
1/2 Cup Liq Dish Soap
1/2 Cup Liq Lawn Food
1/2 Cup Molasses or Dark Corn Syrup
Mix together and spray on lawn.

I went to the Fresh Maket in Layton, but I’m sure others have it as well.
Also, I’ve heard that Smith’s has a bunch of beer rebates right now, you just have to ask your cashier or at the customer service counter for it!
