It’s time to start decorating for Halloween, and I’m so so so so so excited!! I started pulling out a few of my decorations and realized I had a few gaps. LUCKILY, I just got my brand new Cricut Maker so off to crafting I went!!

Supplies:

  • Cricut Maker
  • Lite Stick Mat
  • Coordinating Paper – 3+ different colors
    • 1 for the bottom layer
    • 1 for the spider web
    • 1 for the letters
  • Adhesive
  • String
  • This cricut file

I’ve made recreating this project SUPER easy, just click on this link to open up the project, and then click “make it”! You can also re-size it to be bigger if you want to.

Cut out each of the mats on different paper, that will layer well. The spiderwebs take a little while, so make sure to have a snack and maybe some netflix handy!

Once they are all cut out it’s time to layer. The easiest way to do it is to put double stick tape or glue on the back side of the letter and still while upside down, adhere it to the spiderweb! Next put more adhesive on the back of the letter/web and adhere it to the banner!

Now, punch holes into the top of the banner (I forgot to add them and have the Maker cut them…whoops). One hole in each corner. Then thread the string through each, I prefer the string to cross the banner’s on the back, but you can do it opposite if you want.

Hang your banner anywhere you’d like. I have mine in my front sitting room, on our mantle style shelf!

The new Cricut Maker is seriously amazing. Their new and improved technology makes the cutting process not only faster, but more smooth and precise as well. Did you see the awesome details on the spider web? It cut it with ease and not a single piece mis cut or skipped!

There’s two blades that come with the Maker, the fine point blade and the rotary blade for fabric!!

The new adaptive tool system means that every cut is going to be amazing. The machine has the ability to adjust the pressure and angle of the cut, needed to create the perfect cut in your material!

Stay tuned for a whole bunch of projects that I have already made, and even more in the works, all created with the new Cricut maker!
