Citrus Glazed Easter Carrots

Citrus Glazed Carrots

I love Easter Sunday dinner. It’s not quite to Thanksgiving dinner, but not as laid back as New Years Eve dinner. It’s a good in between reason to get the family together and have a fabulous meals. Today I’m sharing a great side dish recipe that can be served with your Easter dinner.

Citrus Glazed Carrots

I added a perfect touch to the carrots with both a citrus tang and a cheesy/crunchy topping. I bought Italian Parmesan at Walmart for a different addition to the traditional carrots for Easter.

Citrus Glazed Easter Carrots

Ingredients

2 lbs Carrots - peeled and sliced
1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 lemon's juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 package of Fresh Take's Italian Parmesan

Instructions

place carrots in the bottom of a crock pot. Put the orange juice concentrate, lemon juice and brown sugar on top of the carrots and cook on low for 6 hours (or high for 3-4 hours), stirring every once in a while.

Once the carrots are soft, and just before serving, place the carrots into a casserole dish, and top with 1/2 a package Kraft Fresh Take Italian Parmesan. Place under the broiler in your oven for about 5 minutes, until it's slightly golden and cheese is melted.

Serve warm
