Date Night/Valentine's Day

This weekend, I have a date with my special guy! I get to be his date to the Christmas Party his work is having. Yes, I understand that it is the middle of January, and that Christmas has been over for almost a month now. But because they are an HVAC company, December is one of their busiest times. And who wants to be putting off a client who could be paying, just to put on a party, right?! LOL

Each year, the company takes us out to dinner at a fun and nice restaurant then we head over to a comedy show after. It is a great night, but boy is it cold. I’m not sure what the weather is like where you live, but here we’ve been mighty chilly. Ya know, getting into the negative digits and all. So in years past, I’ve planned a cute outfit to wear for the date, only to realize that I have to walk out in that frigid air from the restaurant to the comedy show, and I quickly change my mind. I’m not gonna expose myself to those freezing temperatures!

But this year, I realized that I can wear my cute little dress, and still stay warm. Also, add a pop or fun or romantic color at the same time by wearing No nonsense tights and leggings under my dress. Pair with some cute boots, and I’m set for that COLD walk, but dressed to impress at dinner.

Although I’m a stay at home mom, and hate having to go clothes shopping with the littles in tow, No nonsense tights and leggings makes it easy for me to purchase, because I can pick them up at any food and drug store as well as mass retail locations; making them both convenient and affordable. Oh, and did I mention that they have a new Brand Ambassador, Jill Martin who is both stylish and modern while making the most of the items in her closet to not spend a fortune while being fashionable. So not only are these practical to cover your legs for modesty and warmth, they are also fashion forward and stylish. Jill is an Emmy Award-winning TV personality and also has a book called “I have nothing to wear”. I’ll bet that sentence has come out of the mouths of each and every one of us before, huh?! Oh, and she’s also the New York corospondent for Access Holywood. Have you seen her incredible style on the show before? I may or may not envy it!

What’s your tip for being stylish and practical at the same time?
