{Tutorial} Making a Magnetic Notepad – Treat.com

A few weeks ago I had a fabulous opportunity to go to a GNO (Girls Night Out, something EVERY mom needs from time to time) sponsored by Treat.com. I hadn’t heard about this new site until just a week or so before this GNO, but I’m so glad that I know about it now. I can’t explain the amazingness of this site!

It is a new greeting card website from Snapfish. You can order blank cards, custom cards, or pre-made greeting cards!

Treat.com has them for all seasons, holidays, and just because!
We were given some fabulous swag at our GNO that included some generic cards, an inspiration quote magnet, and a treat.com notebook.

This came at just the right time.

  1. I needed a card very shortly after to thank the amazing family who got my laptop back to working order!!
  2. I needed a new grocery list notepad for the fridge.

I decided to take it matters into my own hands and make myself a grocery notepad out of the treat.com one we received!

I have a HUGE roll of magnet that has adhesive on one side. I cut strips off to just short of the notepad width, and placed one on top, one on bottom. Because the magnets were in a roll, I needed them to lay flat. So yes, I placed it under a diaper box to flatten them out.

Really, that was it! Then, I put it up on my fridge and call it good! I love having somewhere to quickly write down my grocery list. Because I have a HORRIBLE memory and I can’t remember my list in my head, to save my life!

  3. I need to do that just to keep all my notepads out of reach from my kids. Why is it that they have 1000 coloring books, yet my limited note pad supply is the only thing they want to draw on? 🙂

  4. Good idea!! Sometimes the cutest pads aren’t magnetic, and you just need it off the counter and out of the way! ; )

  5. Great idea – I have that same notepad from treat. Now I just need to get me some magnetic strips.

  6. What an easy – yet awesome – idea! 🙂
