I love asparagus! Actually, I love most all vegis. But I have a soft spot in my heart for asparagus. Unfortunately, I’m the only one in my family that likes it.
You’d think “More for me!” but no, it just means “Don’t make it cause it smells funny”! So the other day I thought that I would spice things up, and maybe get the family to eat it by wrapping it in bacon!
Unfortunately, the family still didn’t like it, and they just picked the bacon off and ate it! Oh well, I still thought it was extra delish and will be making it a ton.
Start by wrapping each asparagus with a single piece of bacon. Place them on a baking sheet and set aside.
Simmer together 2 tsp butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 tsp sesame oil. Once it is all combined together and the brown sugar is completely melted/dissolved, drizzle it over the pre wrapped asparagus.
Bake it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Ta-Da!
Thanks for sharing this on Naptime Delights! I just saw this recipe in Gordon Ramsey`s cookbook, so it must be good! Plus, bacon makes everything better…
