Spring Has Sprung

It is officially spring and you can tell because my shelf has been transformed actually decorated. Although I had great intentions of getting it all decorated for St. Patty’s day, we had too much sickness, nice weather, and life get in the way. So I didn’t get any further than the Luck Bursts

Oh well. They were enough, right?

But I am not letting anything get in the way of my spring and summer decorating. This week it is supposed to get into the 70’s here, and we are welcoming the incredible weather with some fantastic decorations. Not all of them are complete (changing my silhouette wall and the wall behind the couch still needs to be done) but I was able to get everything in it’s place on my shelf. The most exciting part? My blue sunburst is BACK!!!!!! I made it blue for the snow shelf, but the shade of blue is just perfect for the bright colors I have incorporated.

Oh, and apparently I currently have a blue and orange obsession. They make a frequent appearance on the shelf, and will be in my other spring displays too. And I just ordered both blue and orange Bakers Twine from The Twinery. I can’t wait to get them and add it to the projects I’m working on.
{Speaking of projects I’m working on, my husband informed me yesterday that companies don’t send out bills to be used as drop cloths for my projects. WHAT?! That’s what I thought they were for!}

On to the spring decor.

I posted about my Spring Burlap Banner a few weeks ago. It’s been hanging above my bed waiting to make it’s debut in the living room.  She sure does look good here doesn’t she?

And who would have thought that the Sixlets that “I HAD TO HAVE” would fit in just perfectly? I think this is the perfect place for them because I wont let myself eat them in fear it will ruin the look of the display! That’s the kind of candy I like, the display kind!

I also picked up the fabulous vases for a whooping $.79 each at Ikea! I caught a glimpse of them as I was walking to the checkout line and had to take a detour their way. There was NO WAY that I could leave without a few once I saw the price. I’d almost be willing to give up a Dr. Pepper or two if it meant paying for those beauts!
Almost

Do you have your spring decor up? I think if we all put it up, the warm weather will be here to stay!
