Creamy Tomato Pasta

One night I was really wanting pasta for dinner. You see, I only get to have pasta that isn’t spaghetti on Tuesdays or Thursdays. This is because Sean does not like it, and I refuse to make a dinner that isn’t going to be eaten by everyone who is home. I’m a Mom, not a on call chef!! But I didn’t want the same old “out of the can” normal noodles and sauce. So I figured I would try one of my “throw it together” dinners.
My family is quickly getting used to the hit or miss meals that I make when I get into a no recipe mood. Sometimes it is delicious, sometimes its edible, sometimes it goes straight into the garbage and we eat frosted flakes for dinner!
But this meal was DELICIOUS!! I was so impressed, that I have made it multiple times since.
Creamy Tomato Pasta
3 cups of Classico 4 cheese Pasta Sauce (substitute the sauce you might have on hand)
1 tub Philadelphia cooking cream
1 Tablespoon butter
1 cup sliced mushrooms
Pasta of your choice
  • Melt butter in a saucepan then saute mushrooms until tender
  • Add the 4 cheese pasta sauce and cooking cream. Mix until integrated and heated thoroughly.
  • Cook noodles/pasta according to directions on package.
  • Serve pasta and sauce warm and top with fresh grated parmesan cheese.
  • You can also bake some breaded chicken to serve with the pasta and sauce. The flavors of the sauce go very well with the chicken!
YUMMY!
